Pilàr is the main character in a side-project of mine designed to indulge my much-neglected shoujo side. ^^; Pilàr and her companions in crime are also my site's mascots, should I ever get the whole thing up. ^^;;;
Pilàr is a tropical faerie who was born in the Amazon rainforest in Brazil. She lived a normal faerie life until she decided to take a nap in a bromelaid (tropical tree plant). No sooner had she fallen asleep when a British collector (Professor Bates) happened along, nearly fainted at finding such a rare bromelaid specimen, and promptly yoinked it for a British conservatory. Pilàr was halfway across the Atlantic on a jet before she woke up. Needless to say, this presented a bit of a problem for her, especially when she found herself in a greenhouse on the outskirts of London with no idea where she was and nobody around who could speak Portuguese. As they say, wacky hi-jinx ensue. ^_^;
Appearance: Three inches tall, with shimmery bright-colored wings (think tropical butterflies or beetles). Pilàr has rich brown skin, curly purple hair, and dark greeny-brown eyes. She always wears a hibiscus-like flower behind her left ear.
Personality: Pilàr is a cheery, happy sort who tries not to let things get her down. She likes flowers, pretty insects, and playing practical jokes on the "big people." She dislikes loud noises, trucks, and British plant collectors.
