Personality:
Miriam is less shy than her younger sister Rima, but she is nonetheless also sheltered. She could not go to school because the other village children were afraid of her, but she has not become bitter about it-she knows that Rima needs her to protect her. Even though Rima is really only a year younger than Miriam, Rima seems much younger and Miriam is very protective of her because of this.
She is, perhaps, a trifle serious for her age, but she is not bitter and truly wants to look out for her little sister.
History:
Miriam is Rima's older sister, born a year before her Geomancer sister in a small village family. Her parents try to protect the girls from outsiders who misunderstand, but sometimes the fear of her sister backwashes onto Miriam as well. This only makes her more determined to take care of her and make sure "bad stuff" doesn't happen to little Rima. She is determined that if Rima goes anywhere, then she goes too.
However, she is also becoming a little afraid of Rima's manifesting powers, and is caught between conflicting emotions regarding her shy little sister.
Notes on design:
Miriam is fair-skinned like her parents, with dark curly hair. She doesn't have an outfit, but dresses simply because after all, she still is a kid.
